What does it take to build a career in France?

Mark Plummer recorded his second victory in the Total Triumph-sponsored Gloucester and Somerset PGA Winter Series at Saltford and in doing so showed his liking for former stomping grounds.

Plummer claimed his first win in the Series at the club where he was an assistant in the mid-1990s, Burnham & Berrow; the second came at the venue where he played as an amateur.

And showing he had not forgotten the nuances of the course between Bristol and Bath, the pro from Cirencester Golf Club posted a bogey-free two under par round of 67 to finish a shot clear of Broadway’s Josh Davies.

Meanwhile, his clubmate, Ed Goodwin, finished third a shot further back on level par and reduced Giuseppe Licata’s lead in the Order of Merit to just shy of 21 points.
