What does it take to build a career in France?

The European PGA Alliance (EPGAA) hosted its 2nd Annual Congress in Antalya, Turkey this week, at the renowned Antalya Golf Club. As part of the event, the EPGAA Team Championship took place with Team GB&I finishing in third.

The EPGAA unites 12 PGAs from across Europe to discuss shared challenges, exchange ideas and collaborate on the growth of golf. Focused on leveraging the expertise of PGA Professionals—the driving force behind each PGA—the congress aims to promote the future of the game, strengthen mutual connections and build a collective vision for advancing golf across the continent.

Running concurrently with the Congress was the inaugural EPGAA Team Championship, which saw 10 teams of three go head-to-head on Wednesday and Thursday on the Sultan Course, Antalya Golf Club.

The PGA of Germany came out on top with a 13-under total whilst GB&I finished in third, represented by Women's PGA Professional Champion Holly Morgan, seasoned Tour professional and winner of the 2024 PGA Play-Offs, Simon Thornton and Daniel Croft, who finished T8 at PGA Professional Championship earlier this year and won four times in 2024 on the PGA circuit. The highlight for the accomplished trio was their 6-under final round - the lowest score of the day.

This second iteration of the Congress was attended by PGAs from Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain & Ireland, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
