PGA in Scotland launch new stableford series for Members aged 50 and over

We would like to inform PGA Members of upcoming changes to DBS Fees and clarify the Safeguarding & Protecting Children (SPC) Course requirements.

DBS Fees

The Government has announced that DBS Fee’s will rise from 2nd December 2024. Members in England & Wales will face an increase from £38 to £49.50 as well as the online update going from £13 per annum to £16 per annum. The admin costs from our DBS Provider will remain the same at £7.40.

This means that any applications received on or after 2nd December will be charged at the new rate of £56.90. (Garda Vetting, Access NI & PVG Scotland have no increases at this time).

If you would like to renew early, please contact safeguarding@pga.org.uk

Safeguarding & Protecting Children (SPC) Course

UK Coaching are our suppliers of the Safeguarding & Protecting Children (SPC) Course. We are aware that they are encouraging members to renew their SPC by attending the ‘Face to Face’ course at £42. Any member who has already completed a course will only be required to complete the ‘Online Refresher’ at £25 and we will send you a timely reminder.

For any queries, please contact safeguarding@pga.org.uk
