Commenting on the return of #FJThanksaPGAPro, Robert Maxfield, Chief Executive of The PGA, said: “We are delighted to be working with long-term PGA Principal Partner FootJoy on what promises to be another hugely successful social media campaign.

“We were taken aback by the response and success of last year’s competition, with more than 1,000 golfers getting in touch to highlight the incredible work PGA Members do at all levels of the game.

“This campaign will once again showcase the fantastic work and important role PGA Members play in helping people of all ages and ability to take up golf or improve their game.”

The 2022/23 campaign saw over 1500 golfers take the time to nominate their PGA Professionals, with Alex Beckett (Frilford Heath Golf Club) and Evie Carter (The Golf Centre Coalville) being announced as the two winners.

“I was absolutely delighted to be announced as a winner,” said Beckett. “I absolutely love what I do for a living and the members and the team at Frilford Heath are fantastic and so supportive. It meant a lot to me personally too. I moved from Norwich to Oxford for this role and this made it feel totally worth it.”

Carter added: “I was overwhelmed and over the moon to be part of the #FJThanksaPGAPro campaign. It means so much to me, as I love my job and it was so kind that my clients nominated me. Massive thanks to The PGA and FootJoy for running this project.”

For the 2023/24 campaign, the competition will see the two winning pros earning themselves a brand-new iPad, with two runners-up receiving a pair of MyJoys.

In addition to this, two randomly selected participants who take the time to nominate their pros will also be rewarded with a FootJoy waterproof suit.

Winners will be handpicked by a combined FJ and PGA panel and will be announced in February 2024.
