Created in response to the demand by PGA Members, the Director of Golf qualification is designed to provide a means of recognition for those who already perform effectively in the role of Director of Golf as well as a framework for acquiring the skills needed for those who aspire to such a role.
- The course is specifically designed for those already in a Director of Golf (or equivalent) role as well as those who aspire to this role in the future.
- The PGA Certificate of Golf Management Theory is a stand alone award and can be achieved without the candidate holding a Director of Golf position.
- In the 14 years of the 3-stage process, 158 PGA Members have been awarded the Certificate of Golf Management Theory with 139 graduates of the Director of Golf Qualification.
- The Director of Golf Qualification is delivered through seven tailored units including Personal, Strategic, Operational and People Management as well as Finance, Marketing and Customer Service.
- The next induction day is due to take place at The PGA Training Academy on Thursday 7th December 2023.
