What does it take to build a career in France?

Gloucester and Somerset PGA captain Ross Langdon extended his hot streak of form by winning the latest event in the Total Triumph-sponsored Winter Series at the Players Club.

The victory marked the fourth tournament in succession the pro from Brickhampton Court has finished in the top two and he achieved it in fine style.

His five-under par negotiation of the Stranahan course at the Chipping Sodbury venue included an eagle at the 13th, four birdies and just one bogey.

All of which left him three shots clear of his closest pursuer, Enmore Park’s David Dixon who was making his return to domestic competition after a spell in Africa competing on the Challenge Tour.

Dixon also recorded four birdies tempered by bogeys at the ninth and 18th in finishing two shots clear of Filton’s Giuseppe Licata who, with one event left to play in the Series, cannot be caught in the Order of Merit.
