Woburn Golf Club has extended its partnership with Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel electric vehicles, by upgrading its fleet of golf vehicles to 40 new Tempo cars.

The 2019 AIG Women’s British Open host venue, which boasts three championship courses, has been a Club Car customer for 17 years, drawing on local dealer Oliver Landpower’s support, expertise and unmatched customer service since the first fleet was implemented in 2005.

“Time and again we rely on the quality and precision of Club Car’s products, which marry with our own brand ethos,” said Jason O’Malley, PGA Member and Woburn Golf Club Managing Director, who has been in his role since 2007.

“Whether you come to Woburn as a member, a guest or a visitor, you expect a high-calibre product – and that is exactly what you get with Club Car.”

He added: “With three courses accommodating approximately 75,000 rounds annually, our golf car fleet enables us to generate a significant commercial benefit, which substantiates our investment.”

With completely customisable options – including colour, seats, storage, wheels and three programmable drive modes to maximise performance, Club Car’s Tempo vehicle comes with a 3.3hp motor and 375 Amp controller as standard, which deliver outstanding hill-climbing power and acceleration.

“The partnership with Club Car is underpinned by the excellent relationship we enjoy with Oliver Landpower, whether it’s providing additional vehicles for corporate days or assisting with maintenance and repairs. The support we receive is a huge factor in our decision-making process when considering a vehicle supplier,” concluded Jason O’Malley.

The Bedfordshire estate, which is located fifty miles northwest of central London and hosted the 2015 British Masters when the long-standing tournament returned to the tour, has also invested in three marshal vehicles to help manage the flow of golfers.

Club Car supplies many of the world’s leading golf destinations with its wide range of vehicles, and is an official supplier to the DP World Tour, the 2023 Ryder Cup, the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and St Andrews Links Trust.
