The PGA along with its dedicated insurance broker, Howden, is continually reviewing the cover provided to PGA Members - adding additional services and support to the cover provided.

Howden provides comprehensive third-party liability insurance to protect PGA Members in the event a claim is made against them for bodily injury or property damage whilst coaching or playing golf.

In addition, we are now pleased to confirm the insurance will also extend for those who:

  • take part in trick shot demonstrations
  • perform basic first aid

If you trade as a limited company, you are covered provided you do not:

  • have paid employees
  • arrange golf trips and tours
  • your activities exceed teaching, instruction and coaching golf in accordance with PGA guidelines.

Should you trade as a limited company and any of the above points apply to your business - additional cover will be required.

In addition to liability insurance, Howden arrange a legal expenses policy and legal helpline assistance which you can call 24 hours a day to access legal advice. The number to call is: 0330 303 1846.

In 2022 and as part of the legal expenses policy - additional support in the form of access to a range of template legal documents was also made available.

This service can be utilised at any time by PGA Members. Access to these documents can be found by CLICKING HERE and using the voucher code X1232KC79BB5. You will be asked to create your own username and password. The documents are regularly updated by insurers when necessary.
